Hot and Fresh Gist about Kwara State

All Hail the Emperor!
This photos here shows Hon. Sikira Anako, who represents Odo-ogun in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara profusely hand-fanning the elsewhere Governor of Kwara State and self-styled leader of the new PDP in Kwara State. Hon. Anako, is also doubles as the Deputy Chief Whip in the Kwara State House of Assembly was on the entourage of Sen. Bukola Saraki to the service of songs which held at the 1st Baptist Church, Babanloma, in honour of late Prof. Albert Ogunshola.
Mr. Saraki has strenuously attempted to ward off the toga of his alleged arrogance without success. This photo evidence no doubt will further bolster Mr. Saraki’s critics who claim that he is arrogant and stone-headed, the reason why he has lost so many high profile political friends in recent times.
Although Kwaraleaks could not confirm if Hon. Sikira was doing so on the order of Sen. Saraki but an Ilorin-based lawyer and public analyst, Barrister Bashir Adeoti in a chat with our correspondent, had lamented the ‘chilling and disturbing indulgence in shameful sycophancy by the present crop of politicians in the state’.

Good Manners? Senator Gbemi Fanning Herself
Instead of taking a cue from his sister, who was also fanning herself despite that she also came with a retinue of friends and personal aides, Mr. Bukola bashed in the euphoria of being hand-fanned by a members of the State House of Assembly who is old enough to be his elder sister.

Only recently, a former Commissioner of Tertiary Education in the state, Alhaji Mohammed Lade shockingly remarked that Kwara state be named ‘Saraki State’, after the strongman of Ilorin politics, Dr. Olushola Saraki , of blessed memory.

It is not clear whether Mr. Lade, who made the remarks during the debate on the desirability or otherwise of the renaming of the Kwara State University (KWASU) as Olushola Saraki University (OSU), was just being arrantly sycophantic or unconsciously displaying his ignorance of the country’s statutes on the parameters for the change of a state name.
